Unravelled and WWT London Wetland Centre present Wetlands Unravelled, a programme of contemporary art exploring the paradoxes of conservation in the wetlands environment.
The year long contemporary art programme is woven throughout the lakes, ponds and grasslands of one of the capital’s largest wild wetlands. Curated by Unravelled, the programme unfolds over two seasons with new sculptural, installation, video and textile works by ten artists exploring the paradoxes of conservation within the wetlands environment.
Season two launches on Saturday 22 May 2021. New artworks by Lizzie Cannon, Claire Barber, Sharon McElroy, Eloise Moody and Caitlin Heffernan will be installed across the site, along with a programme of talks, performances and workshops led by curators and artists.
Please do join us for a performance of Survival: Lines of Flight given by Gavin Osborn in the Big Observatory on 22 May at 12pm, free with ticket entry.
Season one artists Tania Kovats, Anne Deeming, Jonathan Wright, Gavin Osborn and Alec Stevens launched at Wetlands Unravelled on 1 October 2020 at London Wetland Centre.
